  • What is Twilio?

    Twilio is a cloud communication platform that enables developers to build voice, messaging, and video applications like Optix Digital's Switchboard.  Twilio integrates the communication functionalities to work seamlessly with Switchboard.

  • What Twilio fees will apply?

    Twilio charges for the following:

    1.  Each SMS/MMS message sent and received
    2. Each call that is recorded and stored
    3. Leasing a phone number

    Prices are extremely affordable and much less than having your on-premise phone system.


    They charge on a pay-as-you-go basis and vary depending on which feature you use.


    Pricing as of April 2024:

    • To send/receive a text message costs as little as .0079 cents or $3.95 per 500 messages.
    • The phone leasing is currently $1.15/month 
    • To receive calls costs $.0085/minute ($0.51/hour)
    • The first 10,000 minutes to store recordings are free

  • How do I integrate with Twilio?

    No need to worry!  Our onboarding service includes setting up your Twilio account and setting up the integration with your widget.

  • What does the onboarding include?

    The service includes:

    1. Collecting your information and collecting branding assets (i.e. logo, colours, avatars, etc).
    2. Activating your account and providing you with access credentials
    3. Configuring the widget settings, including the office hour schedule
    4. Setting up Twilio and/or Chat GPT
    5. Virtual video tour of the dashboard
    6. Providing and/or adding embed code to your website.
